CTE Jet Grant

Blooming Grove ISD is proud to announce that we have officially received our 2024/2025 JET Grant Award Check! This marks the completion of an incredible partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, which has supported us in purchasing the specialized equipment needed to launch and grow our Nursing Program at BGISD.

Earlier today, representatives from BGISD attended a special event at Temple College, where we joined several other districts in celebrating this milestone and receiving our “Big Check.” This is not just a moment for celebration, it’s a moment that represents a brighter future for our students.

At BGISD, Career & Technical Education (CTE) is a top priority. Our vision is to empower and prepare students for the workforce as they leave high school, ensuring they are career-ready and equipped with valuable certifications. Currently, three grade levels of students are actively enrolled in our nursing pathway. In just two short years, our current sophomores will be eligible to take certification exams to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) a life-changing opportunity that opens doors to immediate careers in healthcare.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our staff, community, and partners who brought this vision to life.

At BGISD, we believe in creating opportunities that change lives. Today’s celebration is proof that we are on the right path. The future is bright for our students, and we are excited to see the impact this program will have for years to come!
