Compensation Plan Adopted
In a unanimous 7-0 vote, the Board approved the 2025–2026 Compensation Plan, ensuring that every BGISD employee will receive a raise in the upcoming school year.
Compensation Plan Highlights:
Teacher Salary Increases:
+$8,000 for classroom teachers with 5+ years experience
+$4,000 for classroom teachers with 3–4 years experience
+$1,000 for teachers with 0–2 years (Local Step Increase)
Non-Exempt Staff- Custodians, Cafeteria Workers, Maintenance, Office Aides, All other Support Staff:
5% increase from the 2024–2025 mid-point salary
Bus Drivers: Increased to minimum $25/hour
Exempt Staff- Administration and leadership:
3% increase from the 2024–2025 mid-point salary
Flat-rate increases for administrators and directors
New Stipends ($28,500 total):

CTE Lead
SPED Lead
ESL Coordinator
Dyslexia Coordinator
Head Football Coach
Assistant Football Coach
Boys Coordinator
Golf & Tennis Coaches
Substitute Pay Increases:
Non-Certified: $70 → $90/day
Certified: $80 → $100/day
Long-Term Non-Certified: $95 → $115/day
Long-Term Certified: $105 →$120/day
STAAR/EOC Long-Term Certified: +$30/day bonus
