Click Here to Order a Yearbook!!!! From the SuperintendentWelcome to the Blooming Grove ISD Website! Our second A is ACCOUNTABILITY. While the State of Texas has in place a detailed and somewhat convoluted accountability system, I firmly believe that we must hold ourselves to a higher standard. Year in and year out our schools achieve high marks and praise from the Texas Education Agency. However, it is more important for us to receive high marks from one another. We continually strive to be accountable to our parents and students as well as hold them accountable to the goals of the greater community at-large. Our third A is AVAILABILITY. Andrew Carnegie once said, “If you desire to be a success you only have to work half-a-day. You get to choose the first 12 hours or the second 12 hours.” We in Blooming Grove ISD are constantly working to make ourselves available to parents, students, and community. Our employees arrive early and stay late. Moreover, we have garnered a positive relationship with the city of Blooming Grove and the multitude of clubs and organizations that regularly use our facilities to hold their meetings and conduct their activities. Our fourth A is ATTITUDE. W.W. Ziege wrote, “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude, nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude. In Blooming Grove ISD, we strive to avoid the “stinking-thinking” that permeates the negative attitude. We believe in our kids, teachers and principals as well as the rest of the dedicated individuals that make our campuses a great place to work and learn. We expect to win every contest, pass every test and finish first in everything we choose to participate. Let the other guy expect to lose! Our last A is ATMOSPHERE. We strive each and every day to create an atmosphere of fun and celebration. Long ago a wise individual mused that “when school is fun, students will want to come and learn.” I would like to extend that thought with the notion that school should be fun for everyone. That includes faculty, staff and administrators. When you come into any of our schools, I pray you hear laughter in the classrooms, hallways and offices. Laughter is the natural response to fun and achievement. Without celebration, work toward achievement becomes a drudgery that breeds resentment and a mediocre effort. We will work hard and we play hard! We will celebrate with the same vigor that we put forth to achieve our goals. I want to extend an invitation to each of you to come and see us at anytime and permit us to show off our school and hospitality. Remember, there is a cup of coffee and a smile waiting for each of you at Blooming Grove ISD. GO LIONS! With Warm Regards, |
