BGISD will hold a Community Homecoming Pep Rally on Monday, October 7th beginning at 6:30 PM in the parking lot of First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove located at 205 E. 2nd. Everyone is invited to come out and cheer on our Lions. A list of events for each campus is also listed. Let's see your blue and white Lion Pride!!

This week the 8th grade Football team will be traveling to Italy. We will be leaving at 4:45 with the game starting at 6:00. The directions to Italy are as follows:
Head West on TX-22 for 5.4 miles
Turn Right on Garitty Street for .3 miles
Continue onto FM 667 for 7.7 miles
Take a slight left onto College street for .7 miles
Turn right for 308 feet and you should arrive at the stadium.
Before the game, we will be providing Subway. We will return as soon as the game concludes. If you plan on leaving the game with your child, please make sure to sign him out with a coach before leaving.

Thursday, September 12th, our 7th grade football team will travel to Dallas to play Dallas Inspired Academy. The game site is 8421 Bohannon Drive, Dallas Texas 75217. We will be leaving at 3:00 PM. Athletes will be fed before the game. We should return no later than 8:00 PM. Any parents who want to take their athlete home with them will need to sign them out with the coaching staff.
Game day itinerary:

The BG Booster Club is offering a variety of shirts to kick off this school year. Designs are available in short sleeve, long sleeve and hoodies.
Complete the order form and submit it along with your payment by Monday, September 2nd, to any campus office.

It is time to order your senior banners for the 2019-2020 school year. Banners are 2'x6' blue vinyl with white letters and decals. They will be displayed on the football field, baseball/softball field and the gym. These will be returned to each student at the end of the school year. Complete the form and turn in to the high school office by Tuesday, August 30th. Contact BG Booster Club President Bobby Nors with any questions at 214-850-7497.

Blooming Grove Lions and Frost Polar Bears will be participating in a scrimmage on Friday, August 23rd at 6:00 PM with all proceeds being donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund. This day has become known as OUR DAY TO SHINE.
The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardships. To date over 900 schools have participated in OUR DAY TO SHINE and have raised over $614,000. The THSCEF has paid over $566,000 to athletes and coaches in need. The public is invited to attend.
