This Week's Focus: New Athletic Facilities!
This week, we are turning our attention to another exciting part of our bond construction projects, our new athletic facilities! These improvements will be a game changer for our student-athletes, coaches, and community as we continue working to provide facilities that allow our students to compete and develop at the highest level.
Here is a look at some of the exciting improvements coming to Blooming Grove ISD!
-
New Field House: We are excited to bring ALL of our high school athletes, both boys and girls, together under one roof! This new facility will provide modern locker rooms and athletic spaces designed to support all of our high school athletic programs.
-
New Weight Room: The field house will feature a large weight room designed to accommodate athletes across all of our programs. This will provide our students and coaches with the space needed to focus on strength, conditioning, and overall athletic development.
-
Renovated Junior High Locker Rooms: With our high school athletes moving into the new field house, our current locker rooms will be renovated to serve our junior high students. This will allow us to better utilize our existing facilities while improving the experience for our younger athletes.
-
New Home-Side Stadium Parking: Anyone who has attended a Friday night football game knows parking can be a challenge! We are excited to add a new parking area on the home side of the stadium. This will help alleviate congestion in our existing parking lot and provide easier, more convenient stadium access for our home fans.
-
New Stadium Fencing: Safety and security remain a top priority throughout all of our bond projects. As we worked through the design process, we encountered challenges with matching our existing stadium fencing to the new fencing required for the improvements. With these challenges, along with our continued focus on campus security, all fencing surrounding the football field will be replaced. This will provide a consistent, updated perimeter around our stadium while improving the overall security and appearance of the facility that will house students during the school day.
There is so much to be excited about at Blooming Grove ISD! We are grateful for the continued support of our community and look forward to seeing these projects become a reality.
