A New Bus Has Arrived at BGISD!
We are excited to welcome a brand-new route bus to the BGISD fleet!
A huge THANK YOU to our Board of Trustees for continuing to trust us and prioritize funding for the purchase of a new bus each year.
You may wonder… why do we need to budget for a new bus every year?
Did you know some of our route buses travel more than 100 miles every single day? Many of those miles are traveled on gravel and county roads. Over the course of a school year, those miles add up quickly!
By budgeting for a new bus each year, we are able to gradually update our fleet, replace aging buses, and make sure the vehicles transporting our students every day are safe, dependable, and in the best condition possible.
It may not always be the most exciting thing in a school budget, but it is an important investment in the safety of our students, our drivers, and our community.
Thank you to our School Board for continuing to plan for the future and invest in BGISD!
And a special thank you to our transportation team for the miles they travel every day taking care of our kids!
