Fulbright Scholarship Winner: Lindsey Hale Fullbring Scholarship - Lindsey Hale Show Transcript I am Lindsay um this is year 10 for me um this is your 4 um employment growth I'm a second grade teacher and I qualified for the Fulbright classroom for Global teachers John Griggs in it Blooming Grove ISD uh from the bottom of heart I can't express how excited the district is to have 1 of our teachers uh go on this experience and and uh bring back all the worldly uh experiences that that Lindsay Hills going to uh bring back to this amazing District the Fulbright is a government ran program that um helps connect teachers to Global classrooms um so it's a full year-long commitment 10 weeks is where I will do coursework and um connect with fellow Educators all over the America then after that you we will go to Washington DC for 2 to 3 days for the education symposium and then and find out where our whole city is I'm hoping to go um we don't know yet and I'm hoping to find out in the next few weeks but um I've requested um Morocco would be like my number 1 um then synagogue and Uruguay um those are the ones that I'm really really hoping for but you could go to Brazil um Romania and um another Taiwan is another 1 um but there's a lot of them I think there's like 20 to 25 participating countries we always encourage our kids to dream big and we want we want them to have worldly experiences and this is an opportunity that Miss will be able to bring those World experiences back to Blooming Grove at the very end when I come back it's not over I do have a Capstone project so that that is encompassing everything I've learned and bringing it back to the community like that's the whole point of it is to bring it back to the community and showcase what I've done and how it can impact our community I don't know a single person in 20 years of education that has been honored in receiving this opportunity and um I am extremely proud of Lindsay for taking the leap uh dreaming big um and and getting this experience bringing it back to bloom and Published August 21, 2026 Print
