Dear Blooming Grove ISD Staff and Community,
We are extremely excited to move forward in the construction design phase of our 2025 Bond projects! What began months ago in conversations with our Facility Advisory Committee is now taking shape, and last night the BGISD Board of Trustees officially approved the design phase of the High School and Junior High renovations and additions.
While these plans are still in the design stage, and minor details may shift, we want to give you an inside look at what the future of BGISD will look like. Above all, we are proud to share that the designs reflect exactly what we promised our community: the facilities our students and staff need to continue thriving.
What’s Coming to BGISD
New Central Office & Parent Entrance
A safer, smarter, and more efficient hub for the High School and Jr High

Increased Safety – One secure, centralized entry point for parents and visitors.

Efficient Access – A single, convenient location serving both the Junior High and High School.

Shared Resources – Maximizes use of office staff to better support students, parents, and staff.

Parent-Friendly – Simplifies check-in and communication with one consistent entry.

Campus Hub – Creates a welcoming, central space that connects students, staff, and families.

A large cafeteria at the front of the building where both Junior High and High School students can eat separately without overlapping schedules.

This space will also serve as a multi-use community space for events throughout the year.
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Focus

The old cafeteria will be transformed into a modern culinary classroom complete with a fully functional café accessible to the community.

A new Ag facility will be located near our current Ag barn, giving our growing Ag program the tools and space to expand. This space will feature community access for our Vet Tech and Floral design programs.

A state-of-the-art Health Science classroom and lab will prepare students for real-world success.
Student-Center & Library

A new student center and library will be located at the front of the building, offering a central hub for collaboration and innovation.
- Renovations to student and staff bathroom on both campuses
Science Labs and Classrooms

State-of-the-art science classrooms and labs will be added for both the High School and Junior High, giving students access to modern spaces for hands-on exploration and discovery.
Fine Arts Upgrades

The old Ag building will be repurposed into a Fine Arts Center, equipped with:

A set shop for student-created props. Prop and costume storage.

Dressing rooms

A black box theater with a full-size regulation stage for practice and performance
Athletics Expansion

A much-needed new field house and weight room

High school locker rooms for both Boys and Girls

Renovations to current gym locker rooms to accommodate Jr High Boys and Girls

A centralized bus drop-off and pick-up area will allow students to load and unload buses inside a secured location, safely away from other traffic.
