Last Thursday, our administration team was notified by the company performing HVAC optimization on each campus that our air ducts at the elementary were collecting significant condensation. This immediately triggered a response to address the issue. Condensation and moisture in our system are not things we can overlook or delay.

Our team has worked quickly to ensure the problem is resolved while closely monitoring the air quality in our elementary school. The safety of our students and staff is always our number one priority. Unfortunately, this problem was not discovered until late in the summer, but a solution and action plan were put into place immediately. The company has been working around the clock to make the necessary repairs.

In the best interest of our students and staff, we have made the difficult decision to delay the start of school. While we know this is not ideal for everyone, it is important to us that our elementary school is fully ready to welcome our amazing students.

Our first day for students will now be Thursday, August 14.
We are pleased to share that the district has banked instructional minutes, so these missed days will not need to be made up later in the year.

Meet the Teacher and Meet the Lions are rescheduled for Tuesday, August 12. Times and details will be shared soon.
