BGHS is a Recognized Campus August 30, 2010
Blooming Grove High School has earned a Recognized rating from the Texas Education Agency based on student performance on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (or TAKS) test last Spring as well as other criteria. BGHS students and teachers have worked very hard to achieve this goal, and they should be very proud of their accomplishment.
Of course, with a new year starting, everyone knows that the job is just beginning. This year, expectations are even higher, so the goal is to do even better. That should not be a problem given what a great student body and faculty we have at BGHS.
Picture Dates for 2010- 2011 September 2, 2010
Ms. Boyer has dusted off her old Kodak Brownie and loaded it with Kodachrome, and she's ready to snap some photos! Below is the school picture schedule for 2010. Please keep in mind that it may be subject to change. If you have any questions please contact Marilyn Boyer at mboyer@bgrove.org.
[Ed Note: Ms. Boyer has informed us that she will not be taking the school pictures with her Brownie this year because they no longer make film for it, and she could not find any on Ebay. However, a professional photographer has been engaged to do the job.]

Our Mission
The faculty and staff at Blooming Grove High School believe that all
students can learn and we will establish high standards of learning that
we expect all students to achieve. It is our job to foster an environment
in our classrooms that engages students in relevant academic work that
results in a commitment to high levels of achievement. We are confident
that with our support and a system of interventions in place, students
can master rigorous curricula, and we expect them to do so. We are
prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents
to achieve this shared educational purpose, so that students will graduate
with 21st century skills that prepare them for the work force or higher
education.
