The PTO bought caution/safety signs and a speed bump for the parking lot. $436. (suggestions made by officer Patterson)

Earnings ............

The Bookfair made around $1,375 for the first session. Our next Bookfair will be in the Spring.

Requests from Teachers .............

Discussion was held on a new program the Teacher's would like to have for their Computer lab. "Imagination Station for K-5"

Teachers have also requested the need for some new Die Cut pieces. Discussion was held.

A suggestion was made that someone get very specific amounts and exact items needed and present the amounts at the next PTO meeting. Melissa Bearden offered to head that up.

Goals .......

Discussion was held on Courtyard beautification. We need ideas on how to make the concrete Circles more useful and attractive.

Discussion was held on shade for the teachers and students on the playground. Barbara Lewis recalled that somewhere in last years minutes it was decided covers would be put over the benches. That has not been done at this time.

Discussion was then brought up that the teachers do not have anywhere they can take a class to do work outside on tables or go out for lunch with a class. We will look into how much Picnic tables can be purchased for. Barbara Lewis will check on this.

Discussion was held about the idea the Teachers have about having a Christmas store with crafts and goodies made by the students to sell. The teachers already have their ideas in the works. A tree would need to be put up along with other Christmas decorations, (the tree will only be decorated with ornaments made by the students to sell) Decisions were not made at this time as to who would purchase the supplies, PTO or Teachers/students. More details will be given at the next meeting.

There is going to be a Christmas Program December 18th at 7:00 pm. It was suggested that we try to get a Santa Claus to come from 5:00-7:00 to take pictures with the kids. There would be a charge of $5. per photo. We need to check into the possibility of printing the photos right then on printers on campus, or taking the pictures to Wal-mart and having them done. We also need a volunteer Santa for the evening. Barbara Lewis is going to check on someone she knows that has a suit.

A letter needs to be printed up requesting email addresses so mass mail-outs can be sent informing parents of events and needs. We also need to send out a letter informing parents what the PTO's function is and requesting their membership. The dues for membership are $2.00. We also need to send out more sheets requesting room mothers and parent participation in specific events.

We will have our next meeting on December 5th at 4:00pm. The meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm.
